South Asian, Mus­lim, Sikh, Hin­du, Mid­dle East­ern, and Arab com­mu­ni­ties are sub­ject to an increas­ing­ly hos­tile cli­mate in the Unit­ed States, char­ac­ter­ized by high­er lev­els of xeno­pho­bic polit­i­cal rhetoric and hate vio­lence. SAALT’s forth­com­ing report, Under Sus­pi­cion, Under Attack, doc­u­ments near­ly 160 reports of xeno­pho­bic polit­i­cal rhetoric and hate vio­lence with­in the last three years and iden­ti­fies trends, impact, and bet­ter prac­tices to address these issues.
